May 23, 2005REBELANGELS, the new California-based project formed by ex-MARDUK members Legion (a.k.a. Erik Hagsted, vocals) and B.War (bass),have posted several photos from their recent recording sessions in the "Gallery" section of their official web site.
As previously reported, REBELANGELS will entered Endarker studio in Norrköping, Sweden earlier in the month to begin recording a four-song pre-production demo for their debut album, tentatively titled "Savage Kind of Grace". The drums are being laid down by session drummer Kleist from the band BREWMASTER. The group's official drummer, whose identity has yet to be revealed, has a contract to fullfil and will join the band for the recording of the album. The songs that are being recorded during the current session are "Fly Again", "Throw Me to the Wolves", "Savage Kind of Grace" and "Lesser Innocence".
"Savage Kind of Grace" will tentatively include "12 to 14 tracks diverse in style and pace," according to a post on the band's web site.
REBELANGELS were recently joined by a guitarist by the name of Jimmy, whose playing style is said to be "heavily influenced" by James Hetfield, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and Zakk Wylde.
Legion and B.War had previously described REBELANGELS as "a dark, heavy rock band with big heavy riffing and normal, raw vocals."
